50s Movie Star Dress Catalogues on Pinterest are the Best

I have not seen the likes of anything like Pinterest. The most amazing hub of collections extraordinaire on the planet, no one could imagine that Pinterest would experience exponential growth to the 100,000th power.
All it takes is one visit to Pinterest, and your life will never be the same. The hub of collected information and photos has become so awesomely vast. I do not believe it possible to define the size of Pinterest any longer.

I began collecting and pinning ideas on moviestar dresses of the 1950s. I have been so busy enjoying the pinning activities, that I forgot to post on my blogs. You will be absolutely mesmerized to see the collections of star quality dresses. Many of the moviestar dresses no longer have patterns available to re-create the dresses with. Being a pattern drafter and seamstress, I will begin posting leads to patterns that can be purchased for a small nominal sum. Leads that are right on Pinterest. Thousands and thousands. On Pinterest you will find "Kingdoms of 50s Moviestar Dresses".

This link will take you to one of my Pinterest boards 50s dresses to recreate
You will be astounded by the never ending fabulous photos of 50s glamour. I advise all beginning seamstresses to start with the 50s skirts. Intermediate can start on the dresses with great supervision. Advanced seamstresses should be capable of completing any of these star quality dresses.
For the dresses that no longer have patterns available, contact me by comments below. I can draft a pattern just for you with the steps needed to complete the project. My next post will begin the commentary on making these perfect fitting dresses. These 50s dresses are wreaking of feminine powers that transform us into shining stars.

bra. Bra padding should be built into the
bust area to ensure the 50s shaping. This
requires an advanced level seamstress.
Should be custom fitted to the bras size
for the best outcome.

This lovely of lovelies is designed to make
a fuller figure appear smaller. The v neck
and V back elongates, which makes us look
taller. The cap sleeves add shoulder emphasis
which makes the waist appear smaller.

Movie star glam most accurately describes the 50s decade. We associate many of the popular 50s movie stars with the decade. The vintage movie star dresses and gowns can be re created. In this blog, we will learn and understand how to best recreate these daring very provocative looks in good taste. We will learn fron the stars and the awesome dressmakers of their times.

Beehive hair styles, crinoline slips, and really red lipstick were popular. Oh... and don't forget the fabulous cars. Especially the pink fishtail Cadillacs, and the Thunderbirds. The cars were as stylish as the stars and their dresses. Hope you enjoy this glance back in time. And while we are time traveling, we will bring back some of the dresses by recreating them and showing them off.
